Forthcoming March meeting

At our March meeting on Monday 11th we will be having a talk by Steve Price who is one of the swimmers emerging from the water by Clevedon Pier in the BBC Ident.  We look forward to seeing you all.

Walking Club

A most enjoyable walk despite the inclement weather we managed to walk along  the Strawberry Line accompanied by Lenny! The next walk will be on 3rd April with Pat to decide on the route.

March Book Club

The group agreed unanimously that this was a very good book. They particularly enjoyed the way the story was told through the eyes of August ,a boy with a severe facial disfigurement, and also his family and friends. It gave rise to a lot of discussion about people who look different and society' s attitude to them.

Our next title chosen by Jenny is a book entitled The Couple Next Door. A psychological thriller about a couple whose baby goes missing while they are having diner with their neighbours.

We will be meeting at Denise's house on 18th April.
